NEW YORK—(U.S. Asian Wire)—Friends of Funk Filharmonik, New York’s tightest funk band, deserve a vacation. Dawn and Bill Heller are candidates in the “Do You Deserve a Vacation Contest” being held by Matt Lauer and the Today Show on NBC-TV.
Bill has played keyboards with the 12-piece band many times. His wife Dawn is an ovarian cancer survivor and recently had a recurrence, requiring ongoing treatment. The couple was lucky enough to become participants in the contest.
