For a Side Street Fare Zebulon Offers a Great Mix of Food and Music

February 13, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO-- (U.S. Asian Wire) - Not many bargain dining places offer a DJ along with a bartender, but that's the scene at Zebulon, a vibrant after-work spot tucked into a narrow street on the edge of the Financial District. Burgers and sandwiches, priced at $8-11, include a roasted garlic and mushroom burger or a salmon BLT and are accompanied by shoestring fries. Small plates are $4-$12 and range from Thai chicken satay to eggplant adobo and fried calamari. It's all served in a stylishly industrial two-room space with brick walls, wooden floors and a skylight over the mezzanine. During the say, orders for more than two dozen varieties of sandwiches ($5.50-$6.95), including an Italian sausage, chipotle chicken, pastrami Reuben and crispy fried fish are available at the counter. Daily specials may include an excellent turkey meat loaf for $8.95. In the evening, cocktail servers handle the food - and the throngs of liberated worker bees.

Zebulon is located at 83 Natoma St. near Second St. in San Francisco. Lunch is served 11 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays; dinner is served 4-9 p.m. weekdays. Full bar. (415) 975-5705.
